"What drum heads should I buy for my drumkit?"
Hi, Juan!
I mailed you before, but you had to know the sizes of my toms.
Well.... It's a Pearl Forum (I bought it not so long ago) sizes 10" ; 12" ; 14"
The drumheads I am using now are Pearl Protone and I would like to change that. Also the smallest tom sounds too high!
But my question is: what drum heads should I buy for my drumkit?
(I play Rock and fast grooves most of the time)
Greetings,
Jelle
Hi Jelle,
Yep Pearl Protone are cheap drumheads that Pearl puts it on the cheaper series drums. This way they can keep the price at the lowest! Don't expect to much sound quality of them, that wouldn't be fair!
Rock and fast grooves you said?
Ok, here is my advise: Aquarian Response 2 Clear for the toms; they can handle low tuning easily! They provide a very consistent sound quality and are very durable, even when you play loud! How about an Aquarian Hi Energy......Warm sound and a real nice rebound!!
Ask about them in any music shop....
Good luck with playing drums and keep Rockin'!!
Juan
